Hello everyone,
It's that time of the year when the festivities are high and so is the urge to dress up, get glamorous, decked up and go celebrating with friends and families. Hence the desire to look our best. The ladies trying out all kinds of makeup looks to enhance their lovely features at home or at the salon where it often costs you a bundle. Moreover my friends, the men of today are also not far behind but also are very conscious of grooming and personal care. Nowadays, their personal care is not just limited to styling hair but much more. Even though the packaged products that are used on your skin are not entirely harmful, I'm just saying that they are not entirely safe for our skin. Hence the need to give our skin the natural rejuvenating pampering and that's where two superheroes come to our aid. I’m sure that most of you all know of Cocoa and Avocado.
But did you also know that...
Cocoa has numerous benefits for skin health. With one of the highest measured antioxidant capacities this flavonoid rich bean is also loaded with iron, calcium, magnesium, manganese, potassium, selenium, copper, etc. The Nutritious, Anti Ageing, Detox, Hydrating properties help to detoxify and repair your skin, reducing the skin’s sensitivity to UV and increase skin density as well, thus slowing down aging.
Avocado is rich in Antioxidant and in nourishing nutrients as well. It contains Fatty acids, Vitamins, Minerals such as lecithin, linoleic acid, B-carotene, lutein, vitamins-C, D, & E, biotin, folate, copper, potassium, magnesium, all 9 essential amino acids, etc. They not only nourish, but also help to moisturize your skin from within, promoting collagen synthesis and even acts as a natural sunblock, protecting from harmful UV Rays.
The combination of these two ingredients pack a punch in repairing your skin from all the damage that it sustained due to cosmetic exposure and along with all party and festive delicacies... not to mention, DIWALI, SMOKE, POLLUTION, OMG!
Here we see Iknoor trying out yet another technique for skincare and this time she's showing us an effective way to use these Super-foods as ingredients for an Intense Glowing, Hydrating, Nourishing and Skin Repairing Mask for Sun Sensitive and Pigmented Skin.
Fair people, who have little resistance to the darkening effects of the sun will benefit a lot from this mask. Using this mask on a regular basis will also be much helpful majorly for people sensitive to the sun or with pigmentation issues.
I was unable to source good raw cocoa beans time so I substituted with Cocoa powder, Aloe Vera and Vitamin E capsules (just because I had them). The recipe of the mask that I have used is as follows:
Cocoa Powder - 1Teaspoon
Aloe Vera and Vitamin E Capsules - 3
Milk - 1Teaspoon
Mix Them well and apply using your fingers.
Keep on for about 15-20 minutes.
Using warm water wash off or wet a face towel in warm water and wipe off.
Please do let us know if you try it out and how you felt after using it. A Single use softens, and hydrates with a luxurious glow. For this mask to work its natural magic and give full benefits regular use of this mask is suggested.
