What does Amla do for Hair?

Hey friends, Welcome back to my blog.

I know I’ve been pretty irregular during the past couple of weeks. Forgive me for I was taking care of my pet Golden ‘Alvin’, who hasn’t been doing well (he’s six) ever since he got invaded by the dreaded 4-letter vermin. Its not so much an easy task having a golden retriever in your household. Well now he’s so much better and now I am back where my much needed blog needs attention.

This might bring certain fond memories for quite a lot of us Indians. Remember Dabur Amla Hair Oil! Most of you would recognize it from your childhood when you would have seen your granny, mom or elder sisters using it for their hair or massaging yours on the weekends. Even my husband & his family have used it for many years. The Indian Gooseberry is the most commonly utilized fruit in the households of India because of its extensive health, beauty, skin & hair care benefits and medicinal properties for long years. This Superfruit is now easily available across the globe thanks to eCommerce and global shipping.

You guessed it right, this time I am going to tell you about the benefits of the Indian Gooseberry (Amla) for Hair. Amla is among the richest sources of Natural Vitamin C in the world. It is a perfect example of an highly potent and nutritious edible fruit rich in Phenols & Tannins. It contains essential fatty acids, which strengthen hair follicles. It contains a plethora of antioxidants such as Ellagic, Emblicanin, Gallic, Phyllantine and Quercetin acid. Amla also contains a high concentration of minerals, amino acids, as well as strong immune boosting properties. As an antioxidant, it is more than fifteen times powerful than a Pomegranate or double of that of an Acai berry. This indigenous fruit has extensive adaptability to grow in diverse climatic and soil conditions. The fruit exhibits anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties and is highly acidic and astringent as well.

Did you know that deficiency of Vitamin C, which is found abundantly in Amla, is one of the most common reason for hair problems. This fruit is also one of the most easiest and powerful solution to most of the hair problems. With this fruit you need not worry about how to avail its benefits. Today, I’m going to let you in on how Amla is useful for your hair care. Amla is not just used for general hair care but also as an amazing restorative with curing properties. You can avail various benefits from Amla in form of powder, juice, fruit preserve, as a single ingredient or mix/pack combined with couple of locally & home available products. The application depends on what form of Amla you can lay your hands on.
